let me tell you a story

i’m listening to french songs right now! thank god for emule…

i don’t understand some/most of the lyrics but i can cope. i think..

hearing these songs help me appreciate the language more.. well i really need to appreciate it because its my major. i hope that after hearing these for awhile might make my french a whole lot better.. given my current state in my french class, i really need to be good..

hearing celine dion sing french songs made me look at her at a different point of view. i just don’t see her as the woman who sang the titanic theme song anymore, elle est chanteuse.

it’s not only celine dion i’m listening to. there are are other singers that i listen but i don’t really know them cause i just downloaded their names from the net and searched their songs in emule.. then instantly, just like magic, i have french songs in my playlist..

here is a line from a french song i’m listening to. by edith piaf, la vie en rose "quand tu me prends dans tes bras je bois la vie en rose!" i means "when you take me in your arms i see the world in pink." that’s the direct translation. seeing the world in pink means being inlove right? so it can mean: "when you take me in your arms i fall in love."

hier, c’etait terrible!!!

it was a terrible day yesterday.. badluck just came knocking on our doorstep and we let it right in!!!!

first, babette, our ipod, died… actually it was stolen. sad huh?! no more jogging time for babette. no more review sessions. no more boring class hours. (sighs) NO MORE BABETTE!!!! i’ll truly miss this slim chick!!!=’(

second, my cousin, meng, had the most painful dysmenorrhea ever! she was crying and stuff and i can’t do anything about it. she doesn’t want to eat because she was afraid that she might puke again (she puked three times yesterday).

third, the stupid cable company changed channels and we no longer have HBO, Hallmark and CNN. saturday night, HBO will air ocean’s twelve. we were suppose to watch it and now we can’t.

they say that badlucks are suppose to come in threes. so that’s three, i’ll have my report and midterms today. i hope what "they" say is true!!!
